Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween, all you painted rock hounds! Don’t knock on the door looking for these. You can only find them somewhere in southern Maryland. Leaving today, 10/29/06 about 2 PM. I’d tell you what I’m driving, but that would take all the fun out of it. Low enough for kids to find.

Find yours today!

He’s a Good Egg

Humpty Dumpty sits on a wall,
Humpty hasn’t too far to fall.
But if knocked to the ground,
He’ll be hard to be found,
Which doesn’t suit Humpty at all!

The Great Frog Escape!
Look what hopped out of the studio! These happy little critters were last seen hopping merrily down Rt. 301 towards Waldorf, located in Charles County, Maryland.

They’ve got to get tired sometime… why not pick one up and give it a home?

Uh-oh…
Looks like that first batch-o-bugs flew the coop without their labels attached. Ooops!
In the meantime, I was thinking this would be a good project for art class students. Teachers, you can get a free blog right here at WordPress.com to keep the class projects organized. Have your art classes make their Found Art! projects during the semester. Over the semester break, students will have an opportunity to release their Found Art! projects into public places.
English teachers- when they get back from vacation, have the little artists write about where they left their art, and why they chose the place where they left it. Learning should be fun! Try leaving art at: hospitals, old folks homes, orphanages, etc. Leave it at each other’s schools!
Painting rocks is really quite entertaining. Often the shape of the rock tells the artist how it would like to be painted. Look for silly green frogs on this site in the not-so-distant future.
